Girl group New Jin's Daily News "Spotify Single Album OMG 200 million streams"

 New Jeans clearly proved its presence as a global rising star by setting a new K-pop female artist record on the U.S. Billboard chart.


According to the latest chart (March 18) released by U.S. music media Billboard on the 14th (local time), "Hype boy," the debut song of New Jin's (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein), ranked 101st on the Billboard "Global 200."

It has been in the charts for 31 consecutive weeks and is the longest K-pop female artist in the category. "Hype boy," one of the triple title songs from Newzins' debut album, first entered the Billboard Global 200 at 116th place (as of August 20, 2022) and has been steadily gaining popularity until now after reaching 52nd place.


The popularity of the songs "Ditto" and "OMG" in the New Jin's single album is also hot. The two songs ranked 19th and 38th on the Billboard Global 200 this week, respectively. In the same chart, Newzins' own highest ranking was 8th place in "Ditto" (January 14th) and 10th place in "OMG" (January 21st place on the same chart.


Billboard Global 200 ranks the most popular songs based on streaming and music sales (downloads) collected from more than 200 regions around the world, including the United States. It is a major chart created by the U.S. Billboard to reflect the latest trends in the popular music market from 2020.


Meanwhile, Newzins has achieved remarkable results in the U.S. Billboard "Hot 100," which covers not only record and music sales but also radio airplay figures. If not an English-speaking artist, the chart-based Newgins, which has a high entry barrier, has been named for six consecutive weeks with its single album "OMG," released in January. The two songs on the album "OMG" and "Ditto" ranked 74th and 82nd on the Billboard "Hot 100," respectively. It was a great achievement six months after his debut without any local activities.
